Terms of service

Last updated: 22 August 2026

These Terms of Service explain the terms on which Rosalind's Sewing Room supplies products through this website, who you are buying from, how orders are accepted, payment and delivery conditions, your cancellation and return rights, and other important information.

Nothing in these Terms limits or removes any statutory rights you have as a consumer under applicable UK law.

If anything is unclear, please contact us at support@rosalindssewingroom.co.uk.

1. Who We Are

Rosalind's Sewing Room is a trading name of Xirtam Holdings LLC.

Trading name: Rosalind's Sewing Room
Legal entity: Xirtam Holdings LLC
Registered business address: 158 Lee Ave, San Francisco, California 94112, United States
Email: support@rosalindssewingroom.co.uk
Telephone: +1 310-442-8937
Website: rosalindssewingroom.co.uk

In these Terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Xirtam Holdings LLC trading as Rosalind's Sewing Room.

"You" and "your" mean the person using our website or purchasing products from us.

Our registered business address is an administrative address. It is not a retail shop or returns address.

2. About These Terms

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

These Terms should be read together with our:

  • Return & Refund Policy
  • Shipping Policy
  • Privacy Policy

These policies form part of the terms applicable to purchases made through our website.

The version of these Terms in force when you place your order applies to that purchase.

We may update these Terms when necessary to reflect changes to our services, business practices, legal requirements or website.

3. Using Our Website

You may use our website for lawful personal purposes, including browsing products, placing orders and contacting us.

You must not:

  • Use our website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our website, servers or systems
  • Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful technology
  • Copy or commercially exploit website content without appropriate permission
  • Use automated systems to scrape or systematically collect information from our website where prohibited by law
  • Use our website in a way that interferes with its normal operation

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.

4. Product Information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, photographs, prices and other information displayed on our website are accurate.

However:

  • Colours may appear slightly different depending on your screen or device
  • Measurements may be approximate where stated
  • Packaging may occasionally differ
  • Minor manufacturing variations may occur
  • Product availability may change

These points do not affect your statutory rights where goods are faulty, materially different from their description or otherwise fail to meet applicable legal requirements.

5. Product Availability

All products are subject to availability.

Adding a product to your basket does not reserve it.

If a product becomes unavailable after you place an order, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible.

Where we cannot supply an item that you have paid for, we will refund the relevant amount to the original payment method.

We may withdraw products from sale or update product availability at any time.

6. Placing an Order

When you submit an order through our website, you are offering to purchase the selected products at the price and on the terms displayed at checkout.

After you place an order, you will normally receive an automated order confirmation.

This confirms that we have received your order. It does not necessarily mean that your order has been accepted for fulfilment.

A binding contract for the products is formed when we accept your order and begin fulfilment or dispatch the relevant goods.

If we cannot accept your order, we will contact you and refund any payment taken for products we cannot supply.

7. When We May Refuse or Cancel an Order

We may refuse or cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:

  • A product is unavailable
  • There is an obvious pricing or product-information error
  • Payment cannot be authorised or is reversed
  • We reasonably suspect fraud or unauthorised payment activity
  • We cannot deliver to the address provided
  • Fulfilling the order would breach applicable law
  • The order involves misuse of our website or promotional offers

If we cancel an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the appropriate amount to the original payment method.

8. Prices

Prices displayed on our website are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) unless clearly stated otherwise.

The price charged for your order is the price displayed during checkout when you place the order.

Any applicable discounts are shown before payment.

Our current standard delivery within the United Kingdom is free.

You will be shown the total amount payable before completing your purchase.

We will not intentionally add undisclosed mandatory charges after checkout.

9. Pricing Errors

Although we take reasonable care, pricing errors may occasionally occur.

If we discover an obvious pricing error before accepting or dispatching an order, we may contact you to:

  • Confirm whether you wish to purchase at the correct price, or
  • Cancel the affected product and issue a refund

We will not automatically charge you a higher amount without your agreement.

10. Payment

We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout.

Available methods may vary depending on your device, payment provider or checkout configuration.

Payment is normally authorised or collected when you place your order.

Payments are processed through secure third-party payment providers.

We do not require customers to send payment details by email.

If payment is declined, reversed or cannot be verified, the order may not be fulfilled.

11. Delivery Area

We currently deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom, including:

  • England
  • Scotland
  • Wales
  • Northern Ireland

We do not currently offer standard delivery outside the United Kingdom.

Further information is available in our Shipping Policy.

12. Delivery Costs and Times

Our current standard UK delivery is free on every order, with no minimum purchase requirement.

Our normal delivery estimates are:

Order processing: 1–2 business days
Transit: approximately 4–13 business days
Estimated total delivery time: 5–15 business days

Business days mean Monday to Friday, excluding UK bank holidays.

Orders may be fulfilled through international fulfilment partners before entering the United Kingdom delivery network.

Final-mile delivery is typically handled by Royal Mail or another tracked UK delivery partner.

Delivery estimates are not guaranteed dates.

Please see our Shipping Policy for full details.

13. Delivery and Risk

Goods remain our responsibility until they are delivered to you or to a person you have nominated to receive them, subject to applicable law.

Please provide a complete and accurate delivery address when ordering.

If you notice an address error after placing your order, contact us as soon as possible.

Once an order has entered fulfilment or has been dispatched, we may no longer be able to change the delivery address.

14. Delayed or Lost Orders

If your order does not arrive within the expected delivery window, contact:

support@rosalindssewingroom.co.uk

We will investigate the shipment with the relevant logistics or delivery partner.

If a parcel is confirmed lost and cannot be delivered, an appropriate solution will normally be offered, such as:

  • Replacement shipment, or
  • Full refund for the undelivered goods

You are not required to pursue a compensation claim directly against our carrier.

Unless another delivery period has been agreed, applicable UK distance-selling rules generally require delivery within 30 days.

15. Your 30-Day Return Policy

In addition to your statutory rights, Rosalind's Sewing Room offers a 30-day return policy on eligible products.

You have 30 days from receiving an eligible product to request and send back a return in accordance with our Return & Refund Policy.

Eligible sale and discounted products are included.

For a normal change-of-mind return, the customer is responsible for the direct return shipping cost.

We do not charge a restocking fee on eligible returns.

Full conditions and exclusions are explained in our Return & Refund Policy.

Sale goods retain the same statutory rights as full-price goods under UK rules.

16. Statutory Cancellation Rights

Our 30-day commercial return policy does not replace your statutory cancellation rights.

For most qualifying online purchases, UK consumers generally have a statutory 14-day cancellation period beginning after receipt of the goods.

After notifying us of a qualifying cancellation, the goods generally need to be returned within the applicable statutory timeframe.

To exercise a cancellation right, contact:

support@rosalindssewingroom.co.uk

You do not need to provide a reason for a qualifying statutory cancellation.

Certain legal exceptions may apply, including some personalised products and certain sealed hygiene products after opening.

Full details of our return procedure are provided in our Return & Refund Policy.

17. Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Products

Nothing in these Terms limits your statutory rights.

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods supplied to consumers must meet applicable standards, including being as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality where legally required.

If an item is faulty, damaged or incorrect, contact:

support@rosalindssewingroom.co.uk

Please provide your order number and, where reasonably possible, photographs or video showing the issue.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, available remedies may include:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Price reduction
  • Full refund

For qualifying faulty goods, UK consumers may have a short-term right to reject within 30 days. After that period, further repair, replacement or refund rights may apply.

Where we are responsible for the return of faulty, damaged or incorrect goods, we will cover reasonable return costs or provide suitable return arrangements.

18. Refunds

Eligible refunds are issued to the original payment method.

For normal returns, we aim to process refunds within 5 business days after receiving and checking the returned goods.

Where statutory cancellation rights apply, refunds will be processed within the applicable legal timeframe.

Your bank, card provider or payment service may require additional time to credit the funds after we issue the refund.

Further details are available in our Return & Refund Policy.

19. Exchanges

We do not currently offer standard direct exchanges for change-of-mind returns.

If you need another size, colour or product, you may:

  1. Return the eligible original product for a refund.
  2. Place a new order for the product you prefer.

For faulty, damaged or incorrect products, we may arrange a replacement directly where appropriate.

20. Promotions and Discount Codes

Promotions and discount codes may be subject to specific conditions displayed with the relevant offer.

Unless otherwise stated:

  • Discounts cannot be exchanged for cash
  • Promotional codes must be entered during checkout
  • Discounts may have an expiry date
  • Certain offers may not be combined
  • A promotion may apply only to selected products or customers

Any promotional conditions that materially affect the purchase will be displayed before purchase where applicable.

Promotions do not remove statutory consumer rights.

21. Website Information

We aim to keep our website accurate, secure and available.

However, we cannot guarantee that the website will always be uninterrupted or completely free from technical errors.

We may temporarily suspend access for maintenance, security or technical reasons.

We may correct website errors or update content where necessary.

Nothing in this section limits our obligations relating to purchases already made.

22. Third-Party Services and Links

Our website may use or link to third-party services, including payment providers, delivery providers and other external websites.

We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party websites that we do not control.

Your use of an external service may also be subject to that provider's terms and privacy policy.

23. Intellectual Property

The content of our website, including our branding, text, layout, graphics, photographs and other materials, may be protected by copyright, trade mark and other applicable intellectual property laws.

You may use the website for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.

You must not reproduce, republish or commercially exploit protected website content without the permission of the relevant rights holder where permission is legally required.

24. Reviews and Customer Content

If you submit a review, image, comment or other content to us, you confirm that you have the right to provide that content.

Content must not:

  • Be unlawful
  • Infringe another person's rights
  • Contain malicious material
  • Be deliberately fraudulent or misleading

Where you voluntarily submit content for publication, you permit us to display and use it in connection with our website and business, subject to applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

We may decline or remove content where reasonably necessary.

25. Fraud and Misuse

We may take reasonable measures to protect customers and our business against fraud, abuse and unauthorised transactions.

This can include reviewing orders, requesting reasonable verification where appropriate, declining suspicious transactions or cancelling fraudulent orders.

Any such measures will be applied in accordance with applicable law.

26. Our Responsibility to You

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.

This includes liability that cannot legally be excluded for matters such as:

  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Breach of statutory consumer rights

Where permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable as a result of a breach by us.

Our products are intended primarily for personal and domestic use.

Nothing in this section affects your statutory rights.

27. Events Outside Our Reasonable Control

We are not responsible for a delay or failure caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Examples may include:

  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • Carrier disruption
  • Strikes
  • Transport disruption
  • Government action
  • Network or infrastructure failure
  • Other exceptional events outside our reasonable control

Where such an event materially affects an order, we will take reasonable steps to minimise the impact and communicate with you where appropriate.

Your statutory cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.

28. Complaints

If you are unhappy with a product, order or service, please contact us first so that we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Email:

support@rosalindssewingroom.co.uk

Please include your order number where applicable and a description of the issue.

We will review your complaint and respond as soon as reasonably possible.

Nothing prevents you from seeking independent consumer advice or exercising any legal rights available to you.

29. Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

The Privacy Policy explains:

  • Information we collect
  • Why we use it
  • Who we may share it with
  • Cookies and advertising
  • Data retention
  • International transfers
  • Your data-protection rights
  • How to contact us about privacy

30. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

Changes will apply prospectively and will not remove rights relating to orders already placed.

The date displayed at the top of this page indicates when these Terms were most recently updated.

31. Governing Law and Consumer Rights

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.

If you live elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you retain any mandatory protections provided by the law applicable to consumers where you live.

Nothing in these Terms prevents a consumer from exercising rights regarding jurisdiction or dispute resolution that cannot legally be excluded.
